I don't know if James Downey (the conservative sketch writer largely responsible for the 2000 debate sketches) is still around to counter the largely liberal sentiments of the cast, but it makes sense to guess that Lorne made every effort to keep him involved. Having Ben Affleck in there probably will soften any blows against Kerry, which is a shame. If Downey isn't still in there...well let's just say Al Franken probably is.
I do predict a Hardball sketch where there will be gunplay of some sort. I think wishing for an Affleck-as Lt.jg Kerry in Cambodia is probably stretching it though. Nelly is musical guest, and I think he is on the Kerrypalooza tour too.
I'll watch and see. I won't be surprised if I end up thinking that the culmination of the Kerry Campaign's "Operation Gigli" is tonight. That's all I'm sayin'
